About Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada
The University is the brain child of Padmashree Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao a legendary figure and Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It was inaugurated in 1986. The first chancellor of the university was none other than Late Dr. N.T.Ramarao Presently, the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh is the Chancellor.
It is a state university established with act NO .6 of Andhra Pradesh Legislative assembly in 1986 .
