About Course
Course Description
- VLSI stands for Very Large Scale Integration. It is the sub-specialization of electronics and communication engineering offered at postgraduate level. It is an emerging and challenging field. The duration for M.Tech in VLSI design is 2 years; each year consist of 2 semesters.
- The fee charged from the students for this course is approximately ranging between INR 2.5 to 5 lac. The fee varies from institution to institution.
- Students who pursue M.Tech in VLSI Design are trained to work in the field of VLSI design.
- The process of forming an Integrated Circuit by integrating thousands of transistors into a single chip is called VLSI.
- This programme covers topics like hardware description languages, algorithms, system architectures, simulation and synthesis, digital system design, low power design techniques and mixed mode design methodologies.
Job Opportunities for VLSI Design Engineer in India:
The scope of employability in this field is very good. Job options in government sector are also exists for these professionals. They can seek employment in Railways, banking, UPSC jobs like IES, Indian army, etc.
