Master of Science Honours in Biotechnology Course Details
M.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology or Master of Science Honours in Biotechnology is a postgraduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bio products. It aims to deliver high quality courses with strong vocational elements and professional skills development embedded across the curriculum. It, also, aims at training manpower in the thrust areas of Biotechnology such as Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Agricultural Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, Bioinformatics and Bioprocess Technology. More clearly, Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bio-products. Biotechnology also utilizes these products for manufacturing purpose.
Master of Science Honours in Biotechnology Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree (Medical and allied Medical Sciences/Bio Sciences) or equivalent or relevant higher qualification with 60% or equivalent CGPA.
